The Yoga Ed.™ Secondary School Curriculum is an educational program that combines a science-based exploration of the body, mind, and self within the exercise systems of yoga in order to support and enhance an adolescent’s physical, mental, emotional and social development. In a detailed 36-week program, the practice of yoga is informed by and integrated with a study of the body’s systems, the mind-body interface, the impact and consequences of one’s behavior choices as well as health, nutrition and life skills education. How is it different from other programs?
Specifically Designed for Schools Unlike other yoga programs for youth, the Yoga Ed.™ Secondary School Curriculum consists of 36 weeks of lesson plans and homework handouts, a Teacher’s Guide and a reading and resource list. Material is organized into four units of 9 weeks. Each unit includes five themed lessons comprised of a one-week introductory lesson and four two-week lessons.
